Max Scale

About us

Built by people who have run the work.

Between us we have spent decades building digital products, leading transformation, and running strategy work, inside large organizations and for them. Max Scale is what we wished we had had.

A decades-old problem

Every one of us saw the same thing, in company after company. The organization sets out to change something, and does not get the benefits it intended. Then it sets out again and makes the same mistakes, because nothing captured what happened the first time. Strategic work is treated as a series of one-offs, when much of it follows patterns that could be made systematic, measured, and learned from.

That is a systems problem, not a people problem. The outcome comes from the structure the work runs in, and most organizations have no structure for this at all: no shared way to say where an initiative stands, no evidence behind the status, and no record that survives the people who were in the room, or who have since left the company.

What hurts most is not what the organization knows it does not know. It is the unknown unknowns: the questions nobody asked, because nothing prompted them. A structured way of working surfaces those questions before the work starts, so the roadmap routes around the blind spots instead of discovering them on the way.

The method behind Scale Platform was not designed in a workshop. It was built and refined inside Cargotec, a listed Finnish industrial group with several billion euros in revenue. Six years, hundreds of initiatives, spanning innovation, transformation, and AI adoption. Scale Platform now runs in production at listed Finnish companies.

Why now

We built the first version of Scale Platform before large language models were usable. It worked, and it had paying customers. But a structured approach only works if people actually use it, and people do not want to learn a method, fill in forms, or write status reports on top of their real work. Adoption had a ceiling, and the ceiling was people's time.

Large language models removed it. Max reads the work as it already exists, in decks, documents, and meeting transcripts, and applies the structure itself. The organization gets the system without anyone having to learn it, and the adoption, the traction, and the value are on a different level from anything we could reach before. That is the difference between a method people have to adopt and a co-worker who already knows the work.
